Yamaha Off Road Experience

Can I use my own bike?
Yes, providing it is suitable for the course, in safe and good working order and is adequately silenced.

Are participants required to sign a disclaimer before taking part?
Yes

Are there any hidden extras?
No, everything is included, bikes, clothing, and refreshments, you will need to bring your own lunch.

Do you supply all the riding gear?
Yes we supply helmets, boots, motocross jeans, shirts and gloves. Knee pads, body armour and goggles are also provided. You may use your own gear providing it is suitable.

Insurance?
We have Public Liability Insurance for up to 10 million per claim; however we do not provide Personal Accident Cover.  Third party insurance cover is included.

Do I need to be able to ride a motorcycle?
Yes, ideally to come on an ‘Offroad Experience’ day people need to be able to ride a motorcycle with clutch and gears. We can accommodate people who have not ridden motorcycles before, with prior notification.

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

Riders need to be a minimum of 5ft tall.  There are no weight restrictions, but you need physically fit and able.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, we can take from 12 years of age and upwards on our Offroad Experience courses.

How long do I get riding the bike?
You get between 4-5 hours out riding the bikes with a short lunch break in between.

Can I bring friends and family to spectate?
It’s not really practical for people to come and watch, because most of the riding takes place in the surrounding countryside, and not that close to our base. However there are plenty of other things for people to do in the local area, check out: www.llanidloes.com

Is there anything else I need to bring with me?
All you need is a t-shirt or base layer you don’t mind getting dirty to go under the armour, a pair of thick socks to wear in the boots and a change of underclothes and a towel for a shower afterwards.

Yamaha Tenere Experience

Can I use my own bike?
Yes, providing it is suitable for the course, road legal, safe, in good working order and is adequately silenced.

Do you supply all the riding gear?
Yes we supply helmets, goggles, gloves, boots, adventure trousers & jacket.  You may use your own gear providing it is suitable.

Insurance?
We have Public Liability Insurance for up to 10 million per claim; however we do not provide Personal Accident Cover.  Third party insurance cover is included.

Do I need to be able to ride a motorcycle?
Yes, all participants will require an ‘A’ category motorcycle license for all Tenere courses.  You do not require any previous offroad riding experience, but you do need to be a confident road rider.

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

Riders need to be a minimum of 5ft 6, due to the height of the Tenere 700’s.  There are no weight restrictions, but you need to be physically fit and able.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, due to insurance restrictions, all participants need to be over 25 years of age.  It is possible for those under 25 to come along, but you would need to arrange your own third party road risk insurance cover.

How long do I get riding the bike?
You are usually our riding for approx 5 hours during the day, with an hour in between for lunch.
