Yamaha Off Road Experience Enduro Team - 2018 rider lineup

Yamaha Off Road Experience Enduro Team - 2018 rider lineup

The 2017 season was a great one for the team with Jamie Lewis winning the European E2 Enduro Championship aboard the WR 450F and Lee Sealey winning the British E1 title on the WR 250F.  Jamie has decided after many years of racing top level motocross and enduro, to take a break from full time racing.  He will still be involved with the team, racing selected events and mentoring some of the younger riders.  Lee has decided that he wants to race motocross for 2018.  He will stay racing for Yamaha with the Sevenseven2 team in the AMCA MX 2 Championship.  We would like to wish Lee all the best for the 2018 season.

Charlie Evans

For 2018 we have a really exciting new line-up of riders, whilst Charlie Evans will racing again for us aboard the Yamaha WR 450F.  Charlie has been racing for us for the last 3 years, and is an important part of the team.  He has been working hard in the offseason to be ready for the season. Charlie will race the British and Welsh Enduro Championships.

Fraser Flockhart

We welcome to the team Scottish rider Fraser Flockhart, who will campaigning a WR 450F in both the British and European Enduro Championships.  Fraser has been riding in the Championship class for the past few seasons.  In 2016 he finished 12th overall in the British Championship and 10th in the European E2/E3 Junior Championship.  2017 was an even better season finishing 8th in the British Championship.  He was also selected to ride for the Great Britain Trophy team at the ISDE in France.  Fraser is really looking forward to racing the WR 450F this year and we are hoping that we can help him to achieve even better results in 2018.

Jay Thomas

Welshman Jay Thomas will race a WR 250F in the British and European Championships.  Jay is a  relative new comer to the enduro scene.  Jay won multiple British youth motocross titles during his school boy motocross days.  He then suffered a major injury which lead to a break from the sport.  Jay started racing enduros in 2016.  In 2017 Jay finished runner up in the British Expert Enduro Championship.  He will be making the step up into the Championship class for 2018.  We believe that he has the talent to be a front runner, and can  challenge for the E1 title.

Alex Walton

The final member of the team is local rider Alex Walton.  Alex will be riding a Yamaha YZ 125 in the British Championship and the World 125 Youth Cup.   He has won multiple British Youth motocross titles before switching to enduros in 2015.  In 2016 Alex finished 3rd in the British Expert E1 Championship and in 2017 won the British Expert Sprint Championship, British Expert E1 Championship and finished 5th in the European under 20 Championship.  For 2018 Alex will move up into the main Championship class.  Alex has been working hard in the off season and is really getting on well with his YZ 125, so we are excited to see how he goes.

All the guys have been busy doing lots of riding and testing over the past few weeks and are super excited for the start of the season.  The first round of the British Enduro Championship on February 11th is only a matter of a few weeks away.  Hosted by the Witley Club the first round of the series in Hampshire is sure to be a great event to start this years series.  With it being in early February, the weather will probably make conditions tough.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their support for the coming season.
