Positive start to the season at rounds 1&2 of the ACU British Enduro Championship in Elgin Scotland this past weekend for the Yamaha Off Raod Exeprience Enduro Team.
Jamie Lewis brought home his WR 450F in 5th overall Saturday and 6th on Sunday against some world class riders.
Lee Sealey was out for his first major event on his new WR 250F and was showing good speed on Saturday until his brake light switch wire melted against his exhaust which caused a fuse to blow and temporarily stopped the bike on the motocross special test. He managed to locate the problem, and despite loosing the best part of 30 minutes carried on to finish the day and score some valuable Championship points. Determined to put in a good result on Sunday Lee had a great ride and was running 5th place overall until 2 crashes on the final special test dropped him back to 8th overall.
Charlie Evans changed from a 2 stroke to WR 450F for this season and had a strong ride for 13th overall Saturday and 17th Sunday. It was close racing on Sunday and Charlie only missed out on a top 15 position by 5 seconds. Jamie and Lee will head to Portugal next week for the first round of the European Enduro Championship. Thanks to Gary Barnes for some awesome pictures as usual.
